Jill Biden is one of several members of Biden’s White House tasked with going across the country to campaign for The Big Guy’s re-election. She’s the first lady so it is expected that she do so. Her pitch to donors is that Joe is unstoppable and ready to finish the job.
Whenever I hear those words, finish the job, which is a campaign theme coming from Team Biden, I flinch a little. After all of the damage Joe Biden and his merry band of minions have caused to our country, what does he want to finish? He has an approval rating of between 39% and 41% in year three of his term in office. Last week a liberal opinion writer for the Washington Post wrote that Biden should not be as unpopular as Trump but he is.
Jill is raking in millions of dollars in places like Minnesota and Tennessee, as she did over the weekend. ‘Nothing can slow him down and now he’s ready to finish the job.’ That phrase implies he hasn’t been ready to complete whatever he views his job as, though, doesn’t it? What has he been waiting on? It just doesn’t land right. Apparently her fellow Democrats are falling for it. Though most Democrats do not want Joe to run again, Democrats say they will vote for him if he is the nominee. It makes no sense but Democrats are sheeple and they won’t rock the boat. The status quo will remain in place.
It’s understandable if some Democrat donors are nervous about the 2024 presidential election. Joe’s days are not going so smoothly.
The president is coming off a series of stumbles: he tumbled at the Air Force Academy and had a near fall in Hiroshima when he tripped on a set of stairs earlier this month.
And a new NBC News poll shows voters remain concerned if President Biden, 80, has the stamina to complete another four years in office.
The poll found that 68 percent are concerned that Biden does not possess the ‘necessary mental and physical health to be president’ while 32 percent said that they have minor or no concerns.
Additionally it found that 60 percent are concerned about Biden ‘being re-elected and serving another four years as president’ while 40 percent are not concerned.
Biden tends to dismiss concerns about his advanced age. The White House points to his years of experience and his accomplishments in his very long political career. I would argue that Biden has been historically wrong on just about everything throughout his career and for a man who was in the Senate for four decades, he has little in the way of accomplishments to point to.
Remember when Democrats mocked Trump’s doctor for vouching for his health and fitness to do the job of president? Now they fall in line and accept Biden’s doctor’s rosy judgement of his health, only really noting that Biden’s gait is “stiff.”
The campaign in 2023 and 2024 will be different than in 2020. He can’t hide in the basement and blame the pandemic for his isolation. Plus, he is president now and expected to go about his job.
Jilly from Philly has been collecting donation is some tony areas, such as the Upper East Side in Manhattan, to the wealthy areas in Los Angeles and San Francisco. She told a small gathering of wealthy Democrat women in Manhattan that she finds it “a little shocking” that Republicans still support Trump after the indictments. Republicans find it more than a little shocking that Democrats are sticking with Biden.
There’s little Jill can say as she speaks of her husband on the campaign trail. What is she going to say? She can’t say everyone is right in thinking he may not make it to election day in 2024, much less complete a second term if he is re-elected. We’re looking at President Harris. Yikes! Democrats want her even less than they want Biden. Her favorable rating is an historic low for a vice president. She was a diversity choice by Biden and it shows.
So, Jill has her work cut out for her. She’ll likely be on the campaign trail as much as possible. Who would think she wants to be in Washington as the stories of the Biden family corruption come leaking out? She likes to travel on the taxpayer’s dime and be the star of an event. It’s all wrapped up in why she cruelly insists her husband run for re-election. I think she’s the one with the job to finish.
