Measles is destroying the United States, and it is all the fault of the anti-science Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo.
I found two stories today making precisely that argument, and I didn’t even try. Both The Guardian and USA Today repeated this calumny because, well, it fits the narrative that they desperately want to push on the American people.
Don’t listen to conservatives. The Establishment knows what is good for you.
It is indeed the case that there was an outbreak of Measles in Florida. And in California. And in New York. And in…
Want to know how many cases there have been in the United States this year, in a population of over 330 million, including over 10 million illegal aliens who are almost certainly NOT vaccinated?
41 so far.
41 cases. Spread all around the country, in both Blue and Red States. Don’t trust me. Those are numbers from the CDC.
But it is Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo who is the cause of all of this, if you are to believe the MSM, because he opposes injecting the COVID-19 vaccine in children.
Florida is swamped by disease outbreaks as quackery replaces science. The state is in the grip of a #measles outbreak, yet Joseph Ladapo, the surgeon general, continues to ignore medical science to stop it, by @richlusc https://t.co/0XMlqzkPrZ via @guardian

USA Today opens its article in very stark terms and points the finger without question:
A measles outbreak in Florida has gripped the state, with confirmed cases popping in two counties even as the state’s top doctor flouts federal health guidance.
Nine total cases have been confirmed across Broward and Polk counties, according to the Florida Department of Health.
Amidst the outbreak, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo has contradicted medical guidance by telling parents they could decide whether or not to send their kids back to the schools with confirmed cases.
Ladapo has previously called for a halt to the COVID mRNA vaccines, which federal health officials have repeatedly said are safe and effective. Validating vaccine hesitancy has been a staple of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration, and that hesitancy has trickled down to routine immunizations for schools, experts said.

Now, let’s put this number in context. Before the vaccine hesitancy that was, we are told, caused by anti-science vaccine skeptics, the number of Measles cases in the United States must have been near zero, right? This is all Florida’s fault that Measles have entered the United States and is ravaging the nation.
Again, from the same CDC source:
Kinda puts a different spin on things, right?
By the way, the outbreak in Florida was caused by an unvaccinated toddler (who wasn’t of the age to be expected to be vaccinated yet) who brought the disease from OUTSIDE the United States. No word if it was from travel back and forth, or whether this was a “new resident,” as they say. 7 cases in total.
Not exactly an epidemic. And that is because Florida has a 92% vaccination rate for Measles–within 1% of the US average.
USA Today, in a different story, provides a nice graph of Measles cases in the US in recent years. 2024 doesn’t even stand out, despite the dark tones and finger-pointing at Ladopo.
This is a perfect example of narrative building.
Guess which state has the largest number of cases this year? If you guessed Florida, you would be wrong. It is Pennsylvania.
No matter how much you hate the MSM, you don’t hate them enough. Their goal is to slander the people they hate, lick the toes of those they love, and lie to your face before they spit in it.
Can you tell I am ticked?
What a bunch of lying dog-faced pony soldiers. Scum.
